PIKE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MISSION STATEMENT

The Economic Development Authority strives to strengthen the economic vitality of Pike County by implementing strategies and managing programs to attract, promote and sustain businesses and employment.

For more than thirty years, the Pike County Economic Development Authority has enhanced the economic growth of this rural county. While our tree and animal population still outweighs our population of people and businesses, our county has grown into a burgeoning area with a diverse economy that features tourism, hospitality, real estate, construction, healthcare, government, and many other industries.

The Pike County Economic Development Authority is dedicated to the development and growth of the business community, while ensuring that all who work here continue to enjoy living here as well. Come, join us and see what makes us the fastest growing county in the Northeast!

Board of Directors

Kathy Hummel, Chairman

Kathy Hummel

A Pike County Economic Development Authority Board Member since 1994, Kathy and her husband Leroy are long-time residents of the community. A banquet and group sales manager for one of the largest employers in hospitality in the county, Woodloch Pines, Kathy volunteers her time for not only the Economic Development Authority, but also the Pike County and Pocono Lake Region Chambers of Commerce. Helping businesses through the Economic Development Authority’s programs and being a part of the decision making process that helps Pike County businesses prosper is rewarding to Kathy. Kathy has recently been appointed to served as a Pike County Commissioner for a term in 2011.


Marcia Guberman, Vice Chairman

Marcia Guberman

Marcia Guberman spent 7 years splitting her time between Milford and Connecticut before becoming a full time resident of Pike County in July of 2009. Her background as an entrepreneur, business consultant and banker has always been important for the economic development groups she has been involved with where ever she has lived or worked in the North-East. Her role as a Commercial Lender with The Dime Bank gives her a deeper understanding of the needs of the business owner as well as the communities in which they conduct business.


Maryanne Monte, Secretary

Maryanne Monte became a Director of the Board of the Pike County Economic Development Authority in 2010, as she semi-retired from a career at Orange-Ulster BOCES. She has been was devoted to public service throughout her life, including her positions with the US Attorney’s Office and United States Southern New York District Court (SDNY). Maryanne’s commitment to sharing her experience as a grant writer and talents for the betterment of the community, make her a tremendous asset to the Board.


Tom Hogan, Treasurer

Tom Hogan

Tom Hogan, Pike County Economic Development Authority’s Treasurer, has been a member of the board since 1996 and a member of the Pike County business community for more than 40 years. As the owner of local business Hogan Homes, Tom brings hands-on business experience to every decision as a board member of the Pike County Economic Development Authority.


Robert Bostinto, Assistant Treasurer, Secretary

Robert Bostinto

Bob Bostinto moved with his wife Linda to Pike County in 2006 . Bob a native New Yorker wanted to enjoy all life had to offer, and favored Pike over Bucks County to call his new home. Bob's main area of expertise is in the field of telecommunications. In fact, he has over 36 years experience in the industry and finds it changing and challenging every day. In addition, Bob also has significant experience with Disaster/Business Recovery, Network security and Infrastructure.


David Farrington,

David Farrington

Dave has been actively involved in public service for many years serving on several governmental and non-profit boards of directors in the greater northeast Pennsylvania region. He is a partner at EnergySmart Building which is a distributor/installer of green building construction materials. As a commercial-level certified builder of insulating concrete form (ICF) construction, he spends much of his time educating architects and engineers on the benefits of ICF construction and training builders, traditional masons and formers in the practice of ICF installation. His professional career also spans many years as an investment banker specializing in large municipal project financing and, subsequently, as the CEO of Capital Access International, a financial information services firm. He is a graduate of Columbia College and the Columbia University School of Business.

Michael J. Sullivan, Executive Director

Mike Sullivan

Mike joined the Pike County Chamber in February of 2012. His background over the past 30 years includes a variety of key business roles. Mike served for 7 years as the Executive Director of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce in Middletown, NY. Later, he worked for, and retired from, the Times Herald-Record where his last position was that of the Marketing Director. In the interim, he served as the President of the Sullivan County Partnership for Economic Development, also for 7 years. Most recently, before coming to Pike County, Mike worked as the Director of Campus Sales for the sale and disposal of Arden Hill and Horton hospitals when these buildings were replaced by the new Orange Regional Medical Center. Mike loves all things related to business, marketing, commerce and trade. He is married to his wife of 41 years, Linda Jean. His daughter and her family live close by and they have two children. Mike and Linda also have a son who is a lighting engineer who lives in Newport Beach, CA. Mike is a veteran of the Marine Corps.
